Become a Training Practice

The accreditation process assesses the ability of both the practice and the GP/s to meet College (ACRRM and/or RACGP) requirements for training Registrars on the AGPT Program.

To register your interest in becoming a GMT Training Practice, please contact your local GMT office.

Specialised Training Posts

Advanced Specialised Training posts allow Registrars to further their knowledge and skills in an area of special interest.  These posts can be undertaken in a variety of settings including hospitals, general practices and other health services.

Extended Skills Training is a compulsory 6-month (full time equivalent) term for all RACGP enrolled Registrars.

Advanced Specialised Training is a 12-month (full time equivalent) term of rural or procedural disciplines for ACRRM Registrars.

Advanced Rural Skills Training is a 12-month (full time equivalent) term of rural or procedural disciplines  for Registrars undertaking the Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP).
